Description of Learning-Teaching Process in Primary Level Second Grade: A Case Study

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to present a description of learning-teaching process in primary level second grade. Classes were chosen from the schools with different achievement levels and were compared to each other. Maximum variation sampling was employed by selecting a second grade class from each of the six schools in centre of Ankara which have different levels and their teachers. In order to gather the data, observation forms, interview forms and achievement tests were used. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis technique and the quantitative data were analyzed by one way ANOVA. The results provided insights into the quality of instruction, the strategies and methods, classroom management, integration of teaching materials, assessment procedures and overall achievement of the participants.
Özet
Bu araştırmada ilköğretim 2. sınıflarda gerçekleştiren öğrenme-öğretme sürecinin betimlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Farklı başarı düzeyindeki okullardan seçilen sınıflar, kendi içinde bütüncül olarak ele alınıp daha Sonradan tümüyle karşılaştırma yoluna gidilir için de "bütüncül çoklu durum deseni" kullanılmıştır. Ankara merkez ilçelerinde bulunmak üzere başka bir dilde eğitim düzeyi 6 okulda bulunan birer 2. sınıf ve bu sınıfların öğretmenleri çalışma grupuna dahil edilerek maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesine gidilmiştir. Veri toplamak gözlem formu, görüşme formülü ve başarı testleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen nitel bilgiler içeren bir ilaçla, nicel verilerle tek yönlü varyans analizi ve Scheffe testine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda; Öğretim hizmetin niteliği, strateji yöntemleri ve tekniklerin işe koşulması, sınıf yönetimi, araç gereç kullanımı, değerlendirme süreci ve öğrencilerin genel başarı düzeylerine göre bulgular elde edilmiştir.
