The Colours Obtained from Elder Flower Sambucus nigra L. Plant in Natural Dyeing and Their Colour Fastnesses to Light and Abrasion on Wool Carpet Yarns

Abstract
In this research fruit and leaves of Elder flower plant were used in natural dyeing. Two methods ware applied by using mordant at the ratio. 3% according to wool carpet yarns. According to first rnethod, wooi carpet yarns ware treated with mordant firstly and ware dyed. To the second method, mordant were added together to flotte during dyeing. Totaly 36 dyeing processes ware performed and the colour fastnesses to light and abrasion on wool carpet yarns of were determined the colours which ware obtained from this plant.

Bu araşt ı rmada Mürver bitkisinin yaprak ve meyvelerinden yararlan ı lmışt ı r. Yün hah ipliğine göre %3 oran ı nda mordan kullan ı larak iki yöntem uygulanm ıştı r. Birinci yöntemde yün hah iplikleri önce mordan ile i şlem görmüş daha sonra boyanmıştı r. ikinci yöntemde ise mordan, boyama i şlemi s ı ras ı nda floteye ilave edilmi ştir Toplam 36 boyama yap ı lm ışt ı r ve elde edilen renklerin yün hali iplikleri üzerindeki ışı k ve sürtünme hasl ı klan belirlenmiştir.
