POSTMODERNİTE VE ETNİSİTE

Özet

Modern dönemle birlikte devletler, mesruiyetlerini ve kimliklerini homojenolan veya varsayılan ulus olgusundan almaya baslamıslardır. Ulus ise her devletinönünde öylece duran bir kategori değildi. Bundan dolayı ulus-devletler sınırlarıiçersindeki farklılıkları belirli bir ulus kategorisine dönüstürmek için var olan tümimkânlarını seferber etmislerdi. Fakat 1960’lardan sonra hız kazanan postmodernkavrayıs, bu kategoriye itirazı getirmis, ulusun bir alt kategorisi olarak algılananetnisiteleri ön plana çıkarmıstır. Bu durum ise mevcut oturmus algılayıslarısarsmıs ve çatısmalara neden olmustur. Bu çalısmada ifade edilen gerilim ortayakonulmaya çalısılmıstır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Modernite, postmodernite, etnisite, kimlik Absract: With the beginning of modern age, states stated to take their legal statusand identity from homogenous or figürative nation. Nation, on the other hand, wasnot the same category for each state. That is nation states made use of all facititiesto turn diffrences into a particular nation within their borders. However,postmodern understanding, gaining momentum from 60s onward, made objectionsto this category; and brought ethnicity as a sub-branch of nation to the forefront.This condition challenged the existing consideration and caused conflicts.
