ARISTOTELIAN GROUNDS OF MARXIST TOUGHT: CLASS STRUGGLE AND POLITICAL ECONOMY

KARL MARX'IN SINIF MÜCADELESİ VE POLİTİK EKONOMİ ANLAYIŞININ ARISTOTELESÇİ TEMELLERİ

Abstract

This study aims to show that Karl Marx’s thought has certain Aristotelian grounds in its conceptualization of class struggle and analysis of political economy. In this context, in the sociological analyzes of Aristotle and Marx regarding the class struggle, it is claimed that there are concepts of need and commodity based on an economic conception determined by the relations of production, and this analysis is carried out in a "class" perspective. Besides, the commonalities in Marx and Aristotle in the determination of the existence of the class struggle and the approaches to end the struggle are also discussed. Regarding the analysis of the political economy, it has been tried to be grounded that Marx has Aristotelian grounds in terms of the economic understanding, the use value-exchange value distinction, the treating of exchange processes.

Özet

Bu çalışma, Karl Marx’ın sınıf mücadelesi kavramlaştırmasında ve politik ekonomi çözümlemesinde, belli Aristotelesçi temellere sahip olduğunu göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu kapsamda, Aristoteles’in ve Marx’ın sınıf mücadelesine ilişkin sosyolojik çözümlemelerinde, üretim ilişkilerinin belirlediği iktisadi bir kavrayışa dayanan, ihtiyaç ve meta kavramlarının bulunduğu ve bu çözümlemenin “sınıfsal” bir perspektifte yürütüldüğü iddia edilmektedir. Ayrıca, Marx’ın ve Aristoteles’in, sınıf mücadelesinin varlığını tespit edişlerindeki ve mücadeleyi sonlandırmaya dönük yaklaşımlarındaki ortaklıklar da ele alınmaktadır. Politik ekonomi çözümlemesine ilişkin olarak ise Marx’ın; ekonomi anlayışı, kullanım değeri-mübadele değeri ayrımı, mübadele süreçlerini ele alışı bakımından Aristotelesçi temellere sahip olduğu temellendirilmeye çalışılmaktadır.
