Abstract
According to the old Turkish understanding, the state is the common property and heritage of the members of the dynasty. For this reason, there are not exact rules that determine the way how the rulers who will preside over the state come to power. Seljuk sultans could not establish a central empire even when they were at the peak of their power during the period of the Great Seljuk State where The old traditions continued and which founded after the Turks abandoned the Gok-God religion and adopted Islam and which left its mark on the Medieval Turkish history. This situation caused power struggles and consequently the disintegration of the state.
