THE EVALUTION OF THE CARTOON NAMED MAYSA AND BULUT IN TERMS OF CULTURAL ELEMENTS

MAYSA VE BULUT İSİMLİ ANİMASYON ÇİZGİ FİLMİN KÜLTÜREL ÖGELER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Forming a nation or a state's cultural identity, all kinds of modes of living that distinguish it from other societies, its tradition, its customs, its songs, its sayings, its poetry, its tales, its legends, its proverbs, and all kinds of imaginable productivity of a nation determine that nation's existence and its position in the history; for this reason, these are the heritages needs to be protected. The protection and the correct transmission of these heritages to the future generations are everybody's duties. In this study, criterion sampling which is one of the purposive sampling methods was used. In this method, the units that will meet the sampling are observed (Sonmez and Alacapinar, 2011). The cartoon named Maysa and Bulut that is broadcasted on TRT (Turkish Radio Television) Children's channel has been analyzed in this context. The objective is to determine whether the cartoons contribute to the transmission of the intangible cultural heritage or not. In this study which is a qualitative research, content analysis was used for data analysis, and categorical content analysis was used for both data collection and analysis. In the cartoon in which the life of Yoruk tribe has been animated, many factors reflecting the Turkish culture and lifestyle have also been identified. When determining the cultural factors, firstly it has been searched whether 11 cultural heritages recognized by Unesco in 2013 are referred in the cartoon or not. As a result, the animated cartoon named Maysa and Bulut is considered to be an important production for the cultural transmission and the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage. In each episode, while different traditions and customs are referred, today's forgotten folk beliefs are also animated; and some important values such as Turkish people's hospitality, their values for the teacher/ the scholar, their animal love and their sense of protection for animals are also emphasized

Özet

Bir milletin ya da devletin kültürel kimliğini oluşturan, onu diğer toplumlardan farklı kılan her türlü yaşayışı, geleneği, göreneği, âdeti, sözü, şarkısı, şiiri, masalı, efsanesi, atasözü, o millete ait akla gelebilecek her türlü halk verimi; milletin, tarih sahnesinde var oluşunu ve duruşunu belirleyen, bu nedenle de korunması zorunlu olan mirasıdır. Bu mirasın korunması ve gelecek nesillere doğru bir şekilde aktarılabilmesi için herkese görev düşmektedir. Bu araştırmada amaçsal örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemde gözlenecek birimler içerisinde örneklemi karşılayacak birimler örnekleme alınırlar. Bu bağlamda TRT Çocuk kanalında yayınlanmakta olan Maysa ve Bulut isimli çizgi film incelenmiştir. Amaç çizgi filmlerin kültürel mirasın aktarımında katkısı olup olamayacağını tespit etmektir. Nitel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada nitel verilerin analizinde içerik analizi, verilerin toplanması ve çözümlenmesinde ise kategorisel içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Yörüklerin hayatını anlatan çizgi filmde Türk kültürünü ve yaşam tarzını yansıtan pek çok unsur tes pit edilmiştir. Kültürel unsurlar tespit edilirken ilk olarak Unesco'nun 2013 yılında kabul ettiği 11 kültürel mirasın çizgi filmde varlık yokluk durumuna bakılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Maysa ve Bulut isimli animasyon çizgi filmin kültür aktarımı ve somut olmayan kültürel mirasın korunması yönünden önemli bir yapım olduğu düşünülmektedir. Her bölümde farklı örf, adet, gelenek ve göreneklere değinilirken bugün unutulmuş halk inanışları canlandırılmakta; Türk'ün misafirperverliği, öğretmene/hocaya verdiği değer, hayvanları sevmesi ve koruması gibi önemli toplumsal değerlerin üzerinde durulmaktadır
