The Effects of Technology Support on Short and Long Term Student Achievement in the Culture of Religion and Knowledge of Ethics Courses

Teknoloji Destekli Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Derslerinin Öğrenci Başarısı ve Kalıcılığına Etkisi

Abstract

In recent years, the use of technology has become more common in education and the results are promising. Research studies show that these new technologies are more productive and provide better retention than those of the traditional methods. Introduction of these technologies should make the subject matter –i.e., Culture of Religion and Knowledge of Ethic- much more interesting for the students involved as well as provide long term benefits of greater retention and the better understanding of subject being thought. Under these views, a practice appliance has been done in the primary school of H.M. Ekflio¤lu in ‹stanbul. The results gathered from these studies strongly confirm these views.

Özet

Son yıllarda teknoloji hayatın her alanında kullanıldığı gibi eğitimde de kullanılmaya başlanmış ve verimli sonuçlar alınmıştır. Öğretim teknolojileri ile işlenen bir din kültürü ve ahlak bilgisi dersi hem kalıcılık hem de verimlilik bakımından geleneksel yöntemlerden çok daha iyi sonuçlar vermektedir. Bu düşüncelerden hareketle İstanbul ili, Ümraniye ilçesi, Hatice-Mehmet Ekşioğlu İlköğretim Okulu yedinci sınıf öğrencileri ile bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğretim teknolojileri ve materyaller yardımıyla işlenilen din kültürü ve ahlak bilgisi dersinin daha verimli ve kalıcı olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
