Total Quality Management Applications in Elementary Schools and the Factors Effecting Applications

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain differences in Total Quality Management applications in elementary schools. Analysis revealed that 40% of the variation inTotalQuality Management applications in elementary schools of the degree of “WE-perception, the degree of school-administrator’s endorsement to Total Quality Management philosophy and the degree of limitations related to team-work in schools. The most important factor associated with Total QualityManagement application was “We-perception”.The location of school, school-administrator’s years of experience in administrative positions, school-administrator’s years of experience in the profession, type of college school-administrator graduated, the degree of problems associated with exercising leadership behaviors, were not directly related to Total Quality Management applications. These variables indrectly associated with Total Quality Management aplications.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim okullarında Toplam Kalite Yönetimi uygulamalarındaki farklılıkların açıklanmasıdır. İlköğretim okullarındaki Toplam Kalite Yönetimi uygulamalarındaki farklılığın %40’ı okullardaki “Biz Anlayışı” nın düzeyi , okul idarecisinin “Toplam Kalite Yönetimi felsefesine inanma” düzeyi ve okuldaki “takım çalışmasıyla ilgili engel” düzeylerinin liner kombinasyonu ile açıklanmaktadır.
