Implementation of cooperative learning method of the elemantary grades of 6-8 Turkish courses

Abstract
The learning environment and activities provided to the students are among the important factors that effect student’s success. Therefore many instructors use new teaching methods and techniques in order to make learning activities more effective. The principle of learning by doing and living rather than memorizing should be activated for learning to become permanent. This necessitates a student centered teaching. Titled “Implementaıon of Cooperative Learnıng Method at the Elemantary Grades of 6 – 8 Turkish Courses”, this study briefly outlines “cooperative learning”, which is one of the active learning methods that focus on interaction and cooperation. An application of the effect of this method was done in learning Turkish; and the results of the application realised with the utilization of "micro teaching" method and such techniques as group discussion and brain storming were evaluated.
Özet
Öğrencilere sağlanan öğretim ortamı ve etkinlikleri, öğrenci başarısını etkileyen önemli faktörlerdendir. Bu sebeple birçok eğitimci, öğretim etkinliklerini daha etkili bir hâle getirmek için yeni öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerine başvurmaktadır. Öğrenmenin daha kalıcı olabilmesi için ezberden ziyade, yaparak yaşayarak öğrenme ilkesi aktif hâle getirilmelidir. Bu da öğrenci merkezli bir öğretimi zorunlu kılar. "Kubaşık Öğrenme Yönteminin İlköğretim 6, 7 ve 8. Sınıf Türkçe Derslerine Uygulanması" adını taşıyan bu çalışmada, karşılıklı etkileşimi ve işbirliğini esas alan aktif öğrenme yöntemlerinden "kubaşık öğrenme"ye değinilmiş, bu yöntemin Türkçe öğretimindeki etkisine yönelik bir uygulama yapılmış; "mikro öğretim" yönteminden ve grup tartışması, beyin fırtınası gibi tekniklerden yararlanılarak gerçekleştirilen uygulamanın sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir.
