A study into the anxiety of faculty of education students towards exam for civil servants (EFCS)

Abstract

The aim of the current study was to investigate the anxiety of faculty of education students over EFCS according to different variables. The study is a descriptive research, based on scanning model. The population of the study consisted of 367 last grade students attending to Gazi University, Faculty of Industrial Arts. Students were applied Anxiety Scale for EFCSdeveloped by Karaçanta (2009) as the data collection instrument. According to the results obtained; the anxiety of the students over EFCS varied depending on gender, having a course for EFCS , perception of academic success and their competence of the attainments obtained from the program they are studying.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin KPSSna yönelik kaygılarının farklı değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Araştırma tarama modelinde betimsel bir özellik taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Gazi üniversitesi Endüstriyel Sanatlar Eğitim Fakültesi son sınıfına devam etmekte olan 367 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarına veri toplama aracı olarak Karaçanta (2009) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan KPSS Kaygı Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; öğrencilerin KPSSna yönelik kaygıları cinsiyet, KPSS için dershaneye gitme durumu, akademik başarı algısına ve öğrenim gördükleri programdan edindikleri kazanımların yeterliliğine ilişkin algılarına göre farklılık göstermektedir.
