Investigating The Opinions of Theacher’s to Perform Laboratory Practices in Science Lessons by Means of The Theory of Planned Behaviour

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the situations of teachers to perform laboratory practice in science lessons by means of the theory of planned behavior. In this study, descriptive analysis technique was used. Sample study group consisted of 37 science and primary education teachers in Kastamonu. Semi-structured interviews, which are prepared in accordance with the three basic dimensions of the theory of planned behavior, were used in the study. The interviews were transcribed and the content was analyzed in three categories according to the dimensions of TPB. As a result of the study, it was clear that teachers are aware of the importance of laboratory practice in science lessons, and if they perform laboratory practice they achieve benefit, on the other hand they face difficulties while performing it.
Özet
Bu çalışmada; Planlanmış Davranış Teorisinin (PDT) yardımıyla, fenbilimleri dersini yürüten öğretmenlerin bu ders kapsamında, laboratuvaruygulamaları yaptırma durumlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmadabetimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Kastamonuilinde görev yapan 37 Fen Bilimleri ve Sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmada nitel veri toplama tekniklerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmetekniği kullanılmıştır. Görüşme soruları PDT’nin üç temel boyutuna görehazırlanmıştır. Görüşmeler transkript edilerek PDT’nin boyutlarına göre üçana başlık altında içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucundaöğretmenlerin fen bilimleri dersi kapsamında laboratuvar uygulamalarınınöneminin farkında oldukları ve laboratuvar uygulamaları yapmaları halindeöğretim açısından faydalar temin ettikleri, bunun yanı sıra laboratuvaruygulamalarını gerçekleştirirken çeşitli zorluklarla karşılaştıkları tespitedilmiştir
