Abstract

Antihypertensive, Cardiac and Metabolic Effects of Doxazosin in Essential Hypertension In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of doxazosin theraphy (1-4 mg/day) on blood pressure, left ventricular mass, systolic and diastolic functions and metabolic profile in patients with mild or moderate essential hypertension.Thirty-four patients, who were included in the study, were serially studied during 12 weeks with 2 weekly intervals by recording of blood pressures, heart rate, metabolic profile and echo-cardiogram. Bu çalışmamızda, selektifpostsinaptikCLl-adrenoreseptör blokeri olan doksazosinin hafif ve¬ya orta dereceli esansiyel hipertansiyonlu olguların tedavisindeki yeri ile kardiyak ve metabolik etkilerini araştırmayı amaçladık.
