Abstract
Cultural circles that unite a society are of crucial importance since they represent shared values of that society. Turkish people are vastly wealthy in terms of sharing their common values. The fact that there is a great number of words for this concept is an obvious sign of this wealth. “Armaġan, amuç, artut, belek, “tuzġu” were used in the sense of sharing and giving in the past. We will gain a new insight into these words through their evaluation by means of definitions and examples which demonstrate their meanings and usages given in Dîvânu Luġâti’t-Türk by Kaşgarlı.
