The Adaptation of Psychological Well-Being into Turkish: A Validity and Reliability Study

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği'nin Türkçe formunun psikometrik özelliklerini araştırmaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 339'u (%64) kız ve 190'ı (%36) erkek olmak üzere 529 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda toplam açıklanan varyansın %42 olduğu ve maddelerin tek faktör altında toplandığı saptanmıştır. Benzer ölçek geçerliği için Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçekleri ve İhtiyaç Doyumu Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the psychometrical features of the Turkish form of the psychological well-being scale. The sample of the study includes 529 pre-service teachers, 339 (64%) of whom are females and 190 (36%) of whom are males. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was found that the total explained variance was 42% and that the items were grouped under one factor. For criterion validity, psychological well-being scales and a need satisfaction scale were used.
