Cahiz's Comprehension Of Knowledge

Abstract
In Cahiz s opinion, knowledge is an adjective, not an existence.Human beings get knowledge from existing being in their surro- undings. In this comprehension the source of knowledge is fivesenses, reason and reports. Yet, the knowledge of Allah is diffe- rent from that of human beings and it contains those which arenot existent. That is; Allah has got the knowledge of existing crea- tures before they are created

Cahıza göre bilgi varlık değil, sıfattır. İnsanlar bilgiyi çevrelerinde- ki varlıklardan gözlemleyerek alırlar. Ona göre bilgi kaynağı, beşduyu, akıl ve haberdir. Ancak Allahın bilgisi insanlarınkinden farklıolup var olmayanları da kapsar. Yani Allah varlıklar yaratılmadanönce onların bilgisine sahiptir.
