Abstract

Shirnak (a province in southeastern Turkey) and its surroundings, throughout the history of Islam, kept the identity of a region in which great scientists and ideas thrived. This situation continues in the region in part, where some scholars have been educated. One of the major figures from this region is Findiki Sayyid Fayzullah Erzen (Sayyid Feyzullah Erzen b. Sheikh Muhammad b. Sheikh Hassan al-Buhti al-Findikî), who has works in various fields. In this paper, we will try to introduce these works dealing with tafsir (Qur an commentary) from his book called Lawâmi u'l-Jawâhir bi Ithna Ashara Fannan Yujahir. Primarily, we will inform about the life and works of the author of Lawami'u'l-Jawâhir. Then, we will focus on the resources of the book, and the definition of content and methodology in the section concerning tafsir.

Özet

Şırnak ve çevresi İslâm tarihi boyunca büyük ilim ve fikir adamlarının yetiştiği bir bölge olma özelliğini hep korumuştur. Bölgede bu durum kısmen de olsa devam etmekte, ilim adamları yetişmektedir. Bölgede yetişen önemli simalardan birisi de, çeşitli sahalarda eserler veren, Fındıklı Seyyid Feyzullah Erzendir (Seyyid Feyzullah Erzen b. Şeyh Muhammed b. Şeyh Hasan el-Buhtî el-Fındîkî). Bu tebliğimizde müellifin Levâmiul-Cevâhir bi İsnâ Aşere Fennen Yücâhir adındaki eserini ve eserin tefsirle ilgili bölümünü tanıtmaya çalışacağız. Makalede öncelikle Levâmiul-Cevâhirin müellifinin hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi vereceğiz. Daha sonra da, eserin kaynakları ve tefsir bölümünün muhteva ve metot tanıtımı üzerinde duracağız.
