Effect of attitudes for writing of creative writing approach in Turkish course of primary fifth grades

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, İlköğretim 5. sınıf Türkçe dersinde yaratıcı yazma yaklaşımınınyazmaya yönelik tutumlara etkisini tespit etmektir. Çalışma, Denizli ili merkez ilçedebulunan orta sosyo -ekonomik düzeyde bir ilköğretim okulunun 5. sınıflarında bulunan 53öğrenciyle yürütülmüştür. On bir hafta süren araştırmada, ön test, son test kontrol grupludeney deseni kullanılmıştır. Deney grubunda (n=27) Yaratıcı Yazma yaklaşımı, kontrolgrubunda (n=26) ise Türkçe Öğretim Programı uygulanmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesindeSusar (2009) tarafından geliştirilen Yazmaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (YAYTÖ)kullanılmıştır. Verilerin ç özümlenmesinde t-testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada şu sonuçlaraulaşılmıştır; 1. Deney grubu ve kontrol gruplarının ön test ortalamaları arasında anlamlıbir farklılık bulunmamaktadır. 2. Kontrol grubunun ön test ve son test ortalamalarındaanlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığı belirlenmiştir. 3. Deney grubunun ön test ve son testölçümlerinde ortalamalar arasındaki farkın anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. 4. Deney vekontrol gruplarının ön ve son test ölçümleri arasında anlamlı bir faklılık olduğu tespitedilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ışığında yaratıcı yazma yaklaşımı kapsamında yapılanyazma çalışmalarının yazmaya yönelik tutumu olumlu yönde etkilediği söylenebilir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of creative writing approach toattitudes towards writing in the Turkish course in Primary School 5. Grades. This researchhas been conducted with 53 students of 5th grades who are in the centre of the provinceDenizli and belongs to a middle socio -economic level primary school. The pre-test andpost-test control group experimental design has been used in this 11 -week study. TheCreative Writing Approach for the experimental group (n: 27) and Turkish EducationalProgramme has been implemented for the control group (n: 26). "Writing Attitude Scale",developed by Susar (2009), has been used to obtain data. t-test has been used to analyzethe data. The following conclusions have been reached as a result of the research; 1 -Thereis no significant difference in the pre -test results of the experimental group and controlgroup. 2 - There is no significant difference in the average results o f pre-test and post-testin the control group. 3 - Significant differences have been detected between the averageresults of pre-test and post-test in the experimental group. 4 -Significant differences havebeen detected between the average results of pre-test and post-test between the controlgroup and experimental group. In the light of data obtained, it can be said that the creativewriting activities affect the writing approach positively.
