Rhetoric Aspect of Al-Ittisa’ (Extended Semantic Usages) in the Interpretation of the Speech

Özet

Bu makale tarih boyunca yapılan çalışmalarda gereken ehemmiyeti görmemiş, yalnızca onu ittisâ’ olarak adlandıran bazı bedî’ bilginlerinin eserlerinde zikredilen dilsel bir olgu üzerinedir. İttisâ’ yoruma açık ve kendisindebulunan manaların herhangi birine işaret eden bir karine bulunmaksızın, içeriği cümle içerisindeki kullanımına göre şekillenen, birden fazla anlam taşıyansözdür. Söz sahibi çoğunlukla sözünü bilerek bu şekilde aktarır. Bunun sözdizimi yahut kelime yapısına, söyleyenin ses tonuna ya da yazım şekline bağlıolması gibi çeşitli sebepleri olabilir. Bu olgu geniş çaplı bir çalışmayı hak etmektedir. Bu çalışma ise ittisâ’ olgusunu iki açıdan ele almaktadır. İlk olarakkonuşmasında bu sanattan faydalanan kişinin bunu yaparken kullandığı yöntemler açısından; ikinci olarak da bu sözün alıcısının (okuyan, dinleyen…) sözden çıkardığı anlamlar açısından incelemektedir. Bu çalışma bu belâgatsanatının güzelliğini de ayrıca ortaya koyacaktır. Makalede Kur’ân-ıKerîm’den, hadis-i şeriflerden, sahâbe sözlerinden, Arap şairlerden ve Arapatasözleri ve deyimlerinden iktibaslar yapılarak çözümlemeleri yapılmıştır.

Abstract

This study deals with a linguistic phenomenon that has not been fully researched .This phenomenon was mentioned in some of the works of the AlBadii’ scholars who called it Al-Ittisa (statements that can be interpreted in more than one meaning – provided that the vocabularies can express these interpretations – without any presence of any presumption in favour of any meaning. Often, the speaker does this on purpose. There may be several reasons for its usage such as the syntax, word structure as well as the tone of voice and writing style. Thus, the phenomenon of Al-Ittisa’ deserves an in-depth survey. This research examines the phenomenon of Al-Ittisa on two aspects: 1- The techniques used by the speaker to produce statements with multiple meanings 2- How the recipient interprets these statements. This research will be a guide showing us the rhetorical art in Al-Ittisa. It will introduce examples of the art of Al-Ittisa from the Holly Quran, the Prophet’s (PBUH) Hadith, the words of the companions, and the poems of the Arabs and their proverbs.
