References to the Prophets in Yunus Emre's Poetry

Abstract

Great poet of Turkish, symbol of love and tolerance, Yunus Emre lived in the last half of XIII. Century and at the beginning of XIV century. Yunus Emre, who preached the right way to the people, became the representative of peace, love, generosity, friendship, in other words, humanity. When read from this point of view his poetry is a source of pleasure for the readers. Such that, Yunus Emre has been read for more than seven hundred years not only in Anatolia but also all around the world with great pleasure. This is due to the structure of Yunus Emre's poems. Although what he said was not that original, his style was close to that of the folk. Yunus Emre found good Turkish synonyms for the Arabic and Persian religious terms which were difficult for many to understand. There have been several studies upon Yunus Emre's poetry. In this study, the references to the prophets in Yunus Emre's poetry were analysed. Yunus Emre got the attention of the researchers mainly starting from Republic period. He has been a topic for study not only in Sufi literature but also folkliterature, divan literature and innovation period Turkish literature. This study was prepared to draw attention to the reference concept which will help understand the verses of Yunus Emre better and realize the culturel level and his verses. References are key points to understand almost every verse of Yunus Emre.

Özet

Türkçenin büyük şairi, sevgi ve hoşgörü timsali Yunus Emre, XIII. yüzyılın son yarısı ile XIV. yüzyılın başlarında yaşamıştır. Halkı doğru yola çağıran Yunus Emre barışın, sevginin, cömertliğin, kardeşliğin, deyim yerindeyse insanlığın timsali olmuştur. Bu yönü ile Yunus'un şiirlerini okuyanlar ondan büyük zevk almışlardır. Öyle ki Yunus Emre yedi yüz yılı aşkın bir zamandır sadece bu topraklarda değil evrensel anlamda bütün dünyada sevilerek okunmaktadır. Bu durum Yunus'un şiirlerinin iç yapısıyla ilgilidir. Yunus Emre'nin söyledikleri ilk defa onun tarafından söylenmiş sözler değildir elbette. Fakat Yunus Emre'nin söyleyiş tarzı ve yolu halkın söyleyişi ve duyuşu ile yakınlık göstermektedir. Yunus Emre herkesin koyla kolay anlayamayacağı Arapça veya Farsça dinî terimleri çok güzel Türkçe karşılıklarla dile getirmiştir. Bu çalışmamızda şimdiye kadar üzerinde birçok inceleme yapılmış olan Yunus Emre'nin dizelerinden yola çıkılarak peygamberlere yapılan göndergeler incelenmiştir. Yunus Emre, özellikle Cumhuriyet'ten itibaren araştırmacıların dikkatini çekmiştir. Sadece tasavvuf edebiyatında değil halk, divan ve yenileşme dönemi Türk edebiyatlarında da incelemeye konu olmuştur. Bu çalışma Yunus'un dizelerinin daha iyi anlaşılması, kültür seviyesinin farkına varılmasına yardımcı olacak gönderge kavramına dikkat çekmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Yunus'un neredeyse tüm dizelerinin anlaşılmasında göndergeler anahtar durumundadır.
