"Zaviye"s and their Financial Resouces in the Ayıntab Province in the 16th Century

Abstract
A major factor determining the length of time a state remains politically intact is the condition of the social institutions of the state. “Zaviye”s were institutions established before the foundation of the Ottoman State. They were functional during Ottoman times and have continued their existence until today. These institutions, which were examples of charity and tolerance in social life, were semi-autonomous with respect to issues of finance and administration.
Özet
Devletlerin siyasi ömürleri sosyal kurumlarının durumları ile çok yakından ilgilidir. Zaviyeler, Osmanlı Devletinden önce kurulan ve onun süresince de var olan, günümüze kadar ulaşmış olan kurumlardır. Toplum hayatında hayrı, hoşgörü ve yardımlaşmanın örneği olan bu kurumlar aynı zamanda mali ve yönetimsel açıdan yarı otonom kurumlar olmuşlardır.
