CONSUMERS’ DECISION-MAKING STYLES: A RESEARCH ON SYRIAN REFUGEES

TÜKETİCİ KARAR VERME TARZLARI: SURİYELİ SIĞINMACILAR ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the decision-making styles of Syrian refugees and to determine whether their level of Education differentiates their buying decision-making style. For this purpose, data was collected from 644 Syrian consumers living in Kilis city center by survey. In the study, consumer purchasing decision styles are evaluated within the framework of perfectionistic-high quality conscious, noveltyfashion conscious, confused by overchoice, price conscious, brand conscious, impulsive-careless, recreational, hedonistic and habitual, brand-loyal consumers. Factor analysis and one-way variance (ANOVA) analyses were performed on the data obtained within the scope of the study and the study hypothesis was tested. According to the results of ANOVA analysis, which was applied to test the study hypothesis, it was determined that Syrian consumers have different decision-making methods according to their level of education.

Özet

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı Suriyeli sığınmacıların karar verme tarzlarının incelenmesi ve öğrenimdüzeyinin satın alma karar tarzlarını farklılaştırıp farklılaştırmadığının tespit edilmesidir. Bu amaçdoğrultusunda Kilis şehir merkezinde yaşayan 644 Suriyeli tüketiciden anket yöntemi ile veri toplanmıştır.Çalışmada tüketici satın alma karar tarzları mükemmeliyetçi-kalite bilinci, yenilik-moda yönlülük, seçimkarmaşası yaşama, fiyat-değer bilinci, marka bilinci, düşünmeden alışveriş yapma-dikkatsizlik, eğlence-hazbilinci ve alışkanlık-marka bağlılığı boyutları çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilenverilere faktör analizi ve tek yönlü varyans (ANOVA) analizleri yapılarak, araştırma hipotezi test edilmiştir.Araştırma hipotezini test edebilmek için yapılan ANOVA analizi sonuçlarına göre Suriyeli tüketicilerin öğrenimseviyelerine göre farklı karar verme tarzlarına sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir
