The effects of various temperatures and light on the amount of Vit.-A in the blood sera

Abstract
The blood sera of 10 healty cows, were kept at different deg· rees at light and dark for 9 days. The samples of each group were analyzed and their vitamin A contents were determined every day, in the experimental period. The concentration of vitamin A in the blood sera, were significantly lower at the and of 9 days then those of first day. In addition to this the effects of light and darkon vitamin A content oıf samples, were also significantly different. We can the opinion that, these differences may be due to the negative effects of heat, ultraviolet and oxygen on vitamin A.
Özet
Sağlıklı 10 sığırdan elde edilen kan serumları, çeşitli ısı derecelerinde~ işıkta ve karanlıkta olmak üzere 9 gün saklandı . Her gruptan birer numune, her gün analiz edilmek kaydıyla, 9 gün müddetle tayin yapıldı. 9 günün sonunda elde edilen vitamin A değerleri, 1.güne karşılık istatistik bakımdan önemli azalmalar gösterdiği gibi, çeşitli ortamlar arasında da istatistik bakımdan önemli farklılıklar gösterdi. Bu değişmelerin, ısının ultraviyole ışınlarının ve oksijenin vitamin A üzerine yaptığı olumsuz etkilerden dolayı meydana geldiği kanısına varıldı.
