Abstract
The aim of the thesis is to determine the strategic risk factors that space tourism and space commercialization phenomena will face in the sample of Turkey, and thus to help take the necessary measures with a proactive approach against these risk factors. It is anticipated that this benefit will support the planning activities of decision makers, practitioners and researchers on space tourism. On the other hand, the aim of the study is to create awareness in terms of space tourism in Turkey and to contribute to the space tourism literature. During the thesis research, 401 survey data were collected and 13 interviews were conducted. The data were analyzed and compiled with statistical and contextual package programs.
Özet
Tezin amacı uzay turizmi ve uzayın ticarileşmesi fenomenlerinin Türkiye örnekleminde karşı karşıya kalacağı stratejik risk faktörlerinin belirlenmesi ve böylelikle bu risk faktörlerine karşı proaktif bir yaklaşımla gerekli önlemlerin alınmasına yardımcı olmaktır. Bu faydanın uzay turizmi konusundaki karar vericilerin, uygulamacı ve araştırmacıların planlama faaliyetlerine destek olacağı öngörülmektedir. Öte yandan çalışmanın uzay turizmi anlamında Türkiye’de farkındalık yaratması ve uzay turizmi alanyazınınıa katkı sağlaması amaçlanmıştır. Tez araştırması sürecinde 401 anket verisi toplanmış, 13 görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler istatistiki ve içeriksel paket programları ile analiz edilmiş ve derlenmiştir.
