Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whether there are anti-vaccine discourses against the Covid-19 vaccine, if so, on which topics, and whether it can be defined as an infodemic. The study was designed qualitatively and the data set was created through document analysis method. The data of the study were obtained from the Teyit.org website. The data set was coded, digitized, interpreted and reported through a comprehensive content analysis. The posts were then categorized and described from the perspective of anti-vaccine discourses. As a result of the study, it was determined that 91% of the posts contained false information. In addition, anti-vaccine discourses, especially conspiracy theories and negative experiences after vaccination, were identified in the data set. It was revealed that anti-vaccine discourses were also made against Covid-19 vaccines and the existence of an infodemic in this regard.
