Abstract
This study aims to shed light on the opinions of pre-service teachers studying at universities about the concepts of Web 3.0 and the metaverse that have risen during the pandemic process. This research was carried out with 60 pre-service teachers studying at one of the universities in the Eastern Anatolia region. In this research, the phenomenological research method, as one of the qualitative research methods, was adopted for the study. Based on the data found in the research, it was revealed that this group of teachers was not familiar with the concepts of the metaverse world. It was observed that a few of the pre-service teachers knew about the concepts of the metaverse world and Web 3.0, but it was determined that this knowledge was superficial at a surface level.
Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; üniversitelerde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının pandemi sürecinde gelişen Web 3.0 ve metaverse (evren ötesi) kavramları hakkındaki görüşlerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Araştırma Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’ndeki bir üniversitede eğitim gören 60 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenolojik araştırma yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Bulgular, birçok öğretmen adayının metaverse dünyası ile ilgili kavramları duymadığını ortaya koymuştur. Öğretmen adaylarının az bir kısmının ise metaverse kavramları ve Web 3.0 hakkında bilgi sahibi oldukları görülmüş ancak bu bilgilerinin yüzeysel olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
