Abstract

In order to fabricate a high-efficiency perovskite solar cell, it is necessary to include the electron transfer layer (ETL) which is thin, high transparent, easy-to-manufacture and does not contain pin holes. TiO2 is a good candidate to be used as an ETL material in both compact (c-TiO2) and meso (mp-TiO2) structures. In this study, ETL thin film was prepared by sol-gel method production of c-TiO2 and then coating of c-TiO2 by spin coating method at five different cycle speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, and 4000 rpm. From the characterization of coated thin films, the optimum thickness of ETL for perovskite solar cells and active crystalline electron transfer layer without pin hole was confirmed by SEM, XRD and profilometer analysis.
