Abstract

Diabetic patients with diabetic foot wounds that take a long time to heal, arterial occlusion of the legs or neuropathy at the nerve endings. The most common complication of diabetes is diabetic foot syndrome, which is an important cause of morbidity and mortality.Physical, psychological and social evaluation of the patient before and after the surgery is extremely important in nursing care. In the planning and implementation and evaluation stages of nursing care, appropriate theory models should be used by advancing in the light of scientific knowledge. Faye Glenn Abdellah played a role in the developing of nursing theories and created 21 understandable nursing problems. In this case report which deals with nursing care with Abdellah's 21 Nursing Problem Model the data were collected by face to face interview technique. As a result of the findings, the use of Abdellah's theory for nursing care in amputated individuals was found to be very effective.
