Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the test anxiety levels of nursing and midwifery students and their effect on school success. The sample of this study is 289 students who educated in midwifery and nursing programs. A questionnaire prepared by the researchers and the Examination Anxiety Inventory were used in this research. It has been determined that there is an inverse linear relationship between the total anxiety scores and achievement status of the students. It was determined that there were statistically significant differences in the academic achievement scores of the students in this study, the worries about the future, and the physical discomfort during the preparation of the test. It is determined that the most successful class is the fourth grade students. It has been determined that when the students’ anxiety scores are reduced, the achievement status increases. The results of the research are discussed in the context of findings and in the context of future research and practice.
