Makalede Gezi’nin Türkiye Solu’nda nasıl söylemleştirildiği meselesi tartışmaya açılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Gezi eyleminin politik niteli- ği, bu olay ile diğer muhalif hareketler arasındaki ilişki ve son olarak Gezi’nin arkasındaki özne gibi hususlara yönelik bir dizi tez ileri sürülmüştür. Gezi olayına yönelik siyasal-sosyolojik bilanço çıkarmayı amaç- layan bu makale iddialarını özellikle iki noktada yoğunlaştırır: Gezi’nin bir orta sınıf hareketi olup olmadığı ile Gezi’den antikapitalist bir mesajın çıkıp çıkmadığı soruları tartışmanın ağırlıklı kısmını oluşturur.
