Abstract

In this study, the second-and third-grade students of the elementary school the multiplication in arithmetic that requires verbal problem is misconceptions that lived and had tried to be determined in conjunction with the errors. Qualitative research methods to determine document bugs mining technique is used to determine the cause of the error is made by clinical interviews with students. Data obtained has given answers to problems of children first, true, false, and null, and then classified based on whether they are given the wrong answers to the questions, the researcher determined by four classified based on the type of error is made descriptive analysis As a result of the investigation, making stickers instead of multiplication, multiplication instead of the collection belongs to the collection and rules make impact in generalizations, with proceeding without scrolling digits 0 and 1 with the multiplication rule requiring that students don't understand multiplication question has been the most difficulty in living subjects.
