Abstract
This study aims to determine the desire of primary school teachers’ self improvement. Özet
Çalışmanın amacı Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin kendilerini geliştirme isteklerini tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin mesleki gelişim istekleri cinsiyet ve kıdem farkları göz önünde bulundurularak öğretmen görüşlerine dayalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmada Afyonkarahisar İl merkezinden ve merkeze bağlı beldelerden rastgele seçilen 94 sınıf öğretmenine ve Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Programında okuyan rastgele seçilen 34 son sınıf öğrencisine uygulanan ölçek sonuçları yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara uygulanan t testi sonuçlarına göre; öğretmenlerin kendilerini geliştirme istekleri cinsiyetleri açısından öğretmen görüşleri arasında .05 düzeyinde anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Bulgulara uygulanan anova testi sonuçlarına göre ise; öğretmenlerin kendilerini geliştirme istekleri kıdemleri açısından öğretmen görüşleri arasında .05 düzeyinde anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Aynı ölçek Sınıf Öğretmenliği son sınıf öğrencilerine de uygulanmış ve öğretmenlerin ölçekteki maddelere verdikleri cevaplarlarla karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgulara uygulanan t testi sonucuna göre; sınıf öğretmenlerinin kendilerini geliştirme istekleri öğretmen ve öğretmen adayı arasındaki değerlendirmede .05 düzeyinde öğretmen adayları lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.
