Türklerin İslam dairesi içine girmeleri ve bu topluluk içerisinde bir süre sonra idareci konumuna gelmeleri, onları bu topluluğun müesseselerinin de oluşmasında adeta vazifeli kılmıştır. Bu anlamda Türkler İslam dünyasında pek çok kurumun banisi olma şerefini de kazanmışlardır. Türklerin etkin olarak faaliyet gösterdikleri alanlardan biri de eğitimdir.
