Abstract
The product of architecture is a tangible expression element influenced by physical phenomena, cultural, social and economic conditions, and concepts such as language, religion, andculture. The facade is the architectural product’s first communication place. The facade serves both the user and the society by creating a border inside and outside, in terms of its covering state. It is a long process that involves the transformation of the facade from the exterior walls to the design surface of the architectural product. Today, the facade has transformed into an interface that has no front, back, right and left, which completely surrounds the building. Two breaking points were determined while evaluating of the transformation of architectural product. In this study, it is aimed that design and fiction of the architectural transformation that are evaluated in the context of historical perspective and findings are aimed to be a guide for future designs.

Mimarlık ürünü, fiziksel olgulardan, kültürel, sosyal ve ekonomik şartlardan, dil, din, kültür gibi kavramlardan etkilenen somut bir dışavurum öğesidir. Mimari ürünün çevresi ile ilk iletişim kurduğu yer ise yapının cephesidir. Cephe, örten olma hali bakımından içeride mekân dışarıda sınır oluşturarak hem kullanıcıya hem topluma hizmet etmektedir. Geçmişten günümüze insanları, yaşamı, çevreyi etkileyen mimarlıktaki dönüşümü konargöçer yaşamdan bilgi çağı teknolojisi ile şekillenen günümüze uzanan, cephenin yapıda dış duvardan tasarım yüzeyine dönüşmesini kapsayan uzun bir süreçtir. Günümüzde cephe yapıyı tümü ile sarmalayan önü, arkası, sağı ve solu olmayan bir arayüze dönüşmüştür. Çalışmada mimarlık ürününün cephesinin dönüşüm süreci değerlendirilirken yapıya ait yapım tekniği ve estetik özellikler bakımından tarihsel süreçte hem yapımda hem de estetik özellikleri etkilemesi göz önünde bulundurularak birincil ve ikincil kırılma noktaları belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada cephenin yapının dış duvarı olmaktan sıyrılıp arayüze evrilmesi ve yapıdaki katman, tasarım ve kurgu dönüşümü tarihsel perspektif bağlamında değerlendirilerek bulguların gelecekteki tasarımlar için yol gösterici olması amaçlanmaktadır.
