Abstract

Vestibular system has a high capacity for adaptation. The adaptation mechanism acts during peripheral vestibular incidents to improve patient to pre-disease conditions. A minority of patients with peripheral vestibular problems and a majority of patients with central vestibular problems can not develop the adaptation mechanism and balance problems ensue. Vestibular rehabilitation programs are developed in order to help patients with balance problems. We perform vestibular rehabilitation with visual feed-back since 1995. In this study, we present 34 patients treated with VRVF due to peripheral and central vestibular problems.
