Abstract

Adenomyomatosis is a benign hyperplastic disease of the gall bladder of which the etiology is not clearly known. It is character ized by Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses formed by the invagination of the epithelium to the muscle layer of the gallbladder. It is usu ally asymptomatic. With additional biliary disease, it can be seen symptomatically. In this case report, we aimed to present fundal variant adenomyomatosis in a 47-year-old patient operated on for acute cholecystitis.
