Abstract

In the current study, 12 cases of temporal muscle flaps were utilized in the reconstruction of orbital and periorbital regions have been evaluated between 1991-2000 in Ege University, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Among these 12 patients who were operated in our clinic, the etiology of the defect was secondary to tumor ablation in 12 patients and trauma in 2 patients. All flaps survived totally and no majör complication was observed in the early postoperative period.
