Abstract

Brown-Sequard syndrome is caused by a lesion affecting one half of the spinal cord in one or more segments. Below the lesion level, there is loss of deep sensory and motor functions on the ipsilateral side, whereas loss of pain and temperature sensations is present on the contralateral side. The most common causes are trauma, radiation necrosis and spinal metastases. Here, we aimed to present a case of herpes zoster virus myelitis that was presented as Brown-Sequard syndrome, which is very rare.
