Bu çalışmada; tarih, edebiyat, hâl tercümesi ve kitabiyat sahalarındaki çalışmalarıyla tanınan Đbnülemin Mahmut Kemâl Đnal’ın edebî yönü kuvvetli makale ve eserlerini yayınladığı 1895-1900 yılları arasında neşrettiği Sabih, Bir Yetîmin Sergüzeşti ve Rahşan romanları devir, hayat ve eser bağlamında tahlil edilerek onun bu nev’ideki eserlerinin Türk Edebiyatı tarihi içerisindeki yeri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bunun yanında Sabih ile Namık Kemâl’in Cezmi romanlarının benzer ve farklı yönleri incelenmiştir.
