Abstract

Nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (Gorlin's syndrome) is a hereditary disease with basal cell carcinomas (BCC), jaw keratocysts, palmoplantar pits and falx cerebri calcification. 20 years old man admitted to our outpatient clinic with numerous 2 to 3 mm brown flat papules on his legs. There were also other lesions that the patient was not aware of; two papules on his back and three on frontal scalp area. Histopathology of the lesions on his back and legs were compatible with BCC. He had a history of hexadactily, falx cerebri calcification and odontogenic cysts in mandibula. We present this case of Gorlin's syndrome to draw attention to the differential diagnosis and to emphasize the important points in the follow-up of the disease.
