Abstract
When the history of man is considered as a whole, it is seen that a continuous evolution and movement have been present from ancient times so far. Thus,the formation and development of the concept of modern society is the result of such an evolution that we experience today. However,the concept of nationalism as one of the ideologies coming forth within this historical process draws attention as a political‐based stream which gained its effectiveness after the formation of the term of modern society and which is effective in cultural areaslike in many fields. In this study, how the ideology of nationalism considered as a primary ideology for political and cultural fields in the construction of The Republic of Turkey affected the understanding of national music has been investigated, and in what way it has changed since the first‐period works has been evaluated as to the opera of Aşk‐ı Memnu. Thus, the collected data has been interpreted via the Document Analysis Method in the model of qualitative research.
Özet
İnsanlık tarihine bir bütün olarak bakıldığında en eski zamanlardan bugüne kadar sürekli bir devinim ve evrimleşmenin var olduğu görülmektedir. Bugün içinde bulunulan modern toplum kavramının oluşup gelişmesi de elbette bu evrimleşmenin bir parçası ve sonucudur. Bu tarihsel süreç içerisinde güç kazanan pek çok ideolojiden biri olarakulusalcılık kavramı ise modern toplum kavramının oluşmasından sonra etkinlik kazanan ve pek çok alanda olduğu gibi kültürel alanda da etkili olan siyasi temelli bir akım olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin kuruluş sürecinde de siyasi ve kültürel alanda temel alınan ideoloji olarak dikkat çekenulusalcılık düşüncesinin, kurulması hedeflenen ulusal müzik anlayışına nasıl yön verdiği, ilk dönem eserlerinden bugüne ne şekilde değiştiği Aşk‐ı Memnu adlı opera eseri özelinde değerlendirilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda nitel araştırma modelinde Doküman İncelemesi tekniği kullanılarak elde edilen veriler yorumlanmıştır.
