Abstract
The main consideration in the classical methods of defining coal washability is the ash ratio of the runof-mine coal. However, both the differences in ± 0.1 g/cm3 density values and the shape of ash curves are affected from the ash ratio changes in the same coal. Since the M-CM method is not dependent on the ash content of the coal, it is considered to be a suitable method for Turkish coals with high ash content. In this study, the M-CM method will be introduced briefly and some examples and comparisons will be given on the basis of different Turkish coals

Klasik yöntemlerle yapılan kömür yıkanabilirliğinin tanımlanmasında tüvenan kömürün kül oranı dikkate alınmamaktadır. Ancak, hem ±0.1 g/cm3 yoğunluk farkı değerleri hem de kül karakteristik eğrisinin yapısı bundan oldukça etkilenmekte ve aynı kömürün farklı tüvenan kül oranları için bu değerler değişken olmaktadır. M-CM yönteminde sonuçlar tüvenan kömür külünden bağımsız hale getirildiği için, özellikle ülkemizdeki yüksek oranda kül içeren tüvenan kömürler için kullanımı oldukça uygun bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmada, M-CM yöntemi kısaca anlatılmakta ve ülkemizdeki çeşitli kömürleri örnek alan uygulama ve kıyaslamalar yapılmaktadır
