Özet

Bu çalışmada panel regresyon analizi kullanılarak ekonomik ve kurumsal dönüşüm geçiren Avrupa Birliği geçiş ekonomilerinde, başlıca ekonomik ve kurumsal değişkenlerin kayıt dışı ekonomi büyüklüğü üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda ekonomik değişkenlerden ekonomik büyüme, ticari serbestleşme ve finansal gelişmenin kayıt dışı ekonomiyi azalttığı, işsizlik, enflasyon ve vergi yükünün ise kayıt dışı ekonomiyi artırdığı belirlenmiştir. Diğer yandan kurumsal değişkenleri temsil eden yasal sistem ve mülkiyet hakları ile düzenleyici çerçevedeki iyileşmelerin ise kayıt dışı ekonomiyi azalttığı tespit edilmiştir.
