Abstract

Introduction: Septorhinoplasty surgery is the most common facial aesthetic operation aimed at solving both aesthetic and functional problems. In septorhinoplasty, especially the treatment of septal deviations is the most important step affecting functional results. Various surgical techniques such as scoring, cartilage and bone graft splinting have been proposed in the literature for the treatment of septal deviations. In this study, we aimed to reveal the postoperative functional results of patients with caudal septal deviation using ethmoid bone perpendicular lamina splint during septorhinoplasty with NOSE questionnaire. Material - Method: Twenty-five patients with caudal septal deviation and fracture were included in this retrospective study. The results of the NOSE questionnaire applied one week before and one year after the operation were evaluated statistically. Results: A statistically significant decrease was observed in all scores on the NOSE scale postoperatively. The mean preoperative total NOSE score was found to be 16.84 ± 2.39 (12-20) in all patients, while the mean postoperative total NOSE score was 3.96 ± 1.81 (1-8) (p
