Abstract

The provision of satisfaction for prospective teachers, who are in a position to get educational services, is of great importance for the quality of education to improve. The study, therefore, aims to determine, in detail and in a quantitative framework, the views of the students at Education Faculty on their satisfaction with educational services. The research was conducted at Education Faculty, Giresun University in the academic year of 2013 and 2014. The data of the research were collected based on open-ended questions and content analysis was used for data analysis. Categories were described in parallel with the direct quotations from the respondents' statements and the frequencies of participation in categories were also calculated. The results obtained indicated that the students who studied at Giresun University were, in general, satisfied with their university and department. In addition, the research also focuses on students' wishes and expectations and their departmental needs and requirements were revealed

Özet

Eğitimin kalitesini artırmada, eğitim hizmetlerinin alıcısı konumundaki öğrencilerin memnuniyetinin sağlanması büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Bu bağlamda, bu araştırmanın amacı, eğitim fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin eğitim hizmetlerinden duydukları memnuniyetine yönelik görüşlerini, nitel bir çerçevede ayrıntılı bir şekilde belirlemektir. Araştırma 2013-2014 öğretim yılında Giresun Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi'nde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, açık uçlu sorularla toplanmıştır. Veri çözümlemede, içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Kategoriler; katılımcıların ifadelerinden doğrudan alıntılar yapılarak, açıklanmış ve kategorilere katılım frekansları hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Giresun Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, üniversiteden ve ayrıca eğitim gördükleri bölümden genelde memnun oldukları gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada; öğrencilerin dilek ve temennilerine de yer verilerek, bölümlerine yönelik ihtiyaçları da ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.
