Abstract

Massive blood transfusion can be defined as transfusion more than the total body blood volume. The most important feature of massive transfusion is that if it is done correctly in the proper time, it will be life saving, although it has many complications. We report the details of massive transfusion in a patient with multiple myeloma and transfusion guidelines.

Özet

Masif kan transfüzyonu, hastaya total kan hacminin üzerinde kanın transfüzyonudur. Masif kan transfüzyonunun en önemli özelliği ise doğru ve zamanında yaklaşımla pek çok komplikasyonuna rağmen hayat kurtarıcı olmasıdır. Masif transfüzyon uyguladığımız multipl myelomalı bir hastamızda muhtemel kanama sebeplerini ve transfüzyon ilkelerini daha önceki yayınlar eşliğinde sizlerle paylaşmak istedik.
