Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the predictive values of sonographic parameters in spontaneous abortion in patients who admitted between 6 and II weeks with first trimesterbleeding. Materials and methods: Yolk sac abnormalities, reptroplacental hematoma, "mean sac diametercrown-rump length (MSD CRL)" and fetal heart rate were evaluated sonographically in 64 patients with first trimester bleeding in whom the viability was demonstrated. The importance of these parameters in abortion prediction in pregnants followed-up to 24 weeks was evaluated by ANOVA and logistic regression analysis. Results: 11 was observed that "MSD CRL" and a fetal heart rate at or below 100 were found to have predictive values for abortion in univariant analysis. Yolk sac abnormalities had marginal significance. "MSD CRL
