Abstract

Dermatomyositis is a rare disease of unknown etiology characterized by proximal muscle weakness as a result of inflammation and degeneration of muscles. Concern- ing the anesthetic management of a patient with dermatomyositis, there is little and conflict information on the appropriate use of muscle relaxants. In this case we present an anesthetic management in a patient diagnosed as dermatomyositis.
