Abstract

In this study antimicrobial susceptibility of cefepim against 100 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates, which were detected to produce inducible beta laktamase by nitrocephin disk and double disk sinergy mehods and was determined by theCLSI disk diffusion and E test methods in vitro. 93 (93%) Isolates were showed to be susceptible while 2 (2%) wereintermediate and 5 (5%) were resistant. MIC values of the resistant five and intermediate two strains were ≥ 32 μg/ml and 14 and 16 μg/ml,respectively. In this study w e observed that cefepim is active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates.
