In this report, two patients with acute interstitial nephritis were reported. Oligoanuric period had lasted for a long time and conservative management was not successful. Definitive diagnosis was made by kidney biopsy. After diagnosis, corticosteroid therapy was begun and recovery time was shortened. It was concluded that, interstitial nephritis should be considered in all patients who has atypical clinical presentation of acute renal failure and kidney biopsy should be performed in these patients with this probable diagnosis.

Bu çalışmada, değişik klinik tablo ile karşımıza çıkan iki akut interstisyel nefrit olgusu sunulmuştur. Her ikisinde de oligoanürinin uzun sürmesi ve klasik konservatif tedavi yöntemlerinin yanıtsız kalmasından dolayı tanıları ancak böbrek biyopsileri ile konulabilmiş ve daha sonra başlanan steroid tedavisi ile iyileşme süreleri kısaltılabilmiştir. Bu nedenle akut interstisyel nefrit, atipik seyirli tüm akut böbrek yetersizliği olgularının ayırıcı tanısında düşünülmeli ve bu gibi olgularda böbrek biyopsi endikasyonları geniş tutulmalıdır.
