Abstract
Adnexal tumors of the hair follicle demonstrate differentiation toward hair follicle structures. Trichoblastic carcinoma is a rare malignant adnexal tumor that is characterized by two distinct forms, low- and high-grade forms, which have been reported in the literature. A 59-year-old man vis- ited our clinic with a 25-year history of an asymptomatic papule in the re- gion of the right temporal fossa. The diagnosis of a low-grade trichoblastic carcinoma was made on the basis of histopathological examination. The history and overall behavior of this tumor remains unknown because of the low incidence rate; therefore, it is important to differentiate it from basal cell carcinoma. We report this case because of its rarity in the lit- erature.

Kıl folikülünün adneksiyal tümörleri, kıl folikülü yapılarına diferansiasyon gösteren neoplazmlardır. Trikoblastik karsinom (TK), düşük ve yüksek dereceli tipleri tanımlanan nadir görülen malign adneksiyal bir tümördür. 59 yaşında erkek hasta, saçlı deri sağ temporal bölgede 25 yıldır devam eden asemptomatik papül şikayetiyle başvurdu. Papülden alınan punch biyopsi materyali ve devamında yapılan eksizyonel biyopsi materyalinin histopatolojik incelemesinde düşük dereceli trikoblastik karsinom tanısı kondu. Literatürde az sayıda vaka bildirimi olduğu için, bu tümörün davranışı henüz bilinmemektedir ve bu nedenle bazal hücreli karsinomdan (BHK) ayırımı önemlidir. Bu olguyu literatürde az sayıda bildirildiği ve histolojik olarak BHK'lar ile karıştırılabileceğini vurgulamak için sunmayı uygun bulduk.
